The ORP Redox Meter is a waterproof, compact and handy digital pen used to test water quality. The device can replace electrodes, has a wide measuring range, has a long-lasting battery, is easy to clean, measures quickly and accurately, and has a large LCD screen as well as the ability to save measurement data.
1. What is ORP index?
ORP (Oxygen Reduction Potential) is a substance's ability to decrease oxidants, also known as an indicator of oxidation intensity. The ORP measurement unit is the mv (mini volt).
They can continually swap electrons within the opportunity. Substances that do not have or lack electrons will find ways to obtain electrons to achieve balance. These compounds are known as oxidants. Electron residues, on the other hand, can donate their electrons to other chemicals known as deodorants or antioxidants.
Thus, a positive ORP index indicates that the compound is an oxidant; the higher the positive ORP index, the greater the degree of oxidation. A negative ORP index indicates that the compound is a reducing agent; the lower the negative ORP index, the higher the antioxidant level.

3. Structure and operating principle
3.1 Structure
The ORP meter is made up of two parts: a display screen and a probe. While the display shows ORP measurements, the probe has a sensor that uses a small platinum surface that accumulates electrical charge.
3.2 Operating principle
ORP does not directly assess concentrations, but rather levels of recreational activity.
There is no requirement for a chemical reaction because the sensor uses small platinum planes that accumulate charge; the measured charge is correlated to the solution, and the voltage solution is employed as a pH sensor.
4. Application
The ORP meter allows us to calculate the ORP index in water, food, and other substances to determine which are oxidants and which are antioxidants.
We may then change the amount of oxidants and antioxidants in the body once we've determined this index.
5. Calibration procedure
- Initial inspection
- Technical inspection
- Measurement inspection
After calibration, ORP meters are stamped and issued a calibration certificate with calibration results.
Recommed calibration cycle: 01 year.
